Throw It On the Fire highlights the strength of female compassion as a community of women gathers to share stories and support one another as they reveal their vulnerability.
Artist Statement:
I began the process of creating Throw it On the Fire with a certain amount of hesitation as the piece was to embody all that I as a woman have identified with. The creation has been very much aligned with the piece. Through the support of the collaborating artists I have been empowered to be vulnerable and honest with my work. My intention is to allow the audience to become voyeur to a few moments in these female artists' growth as dancers in the piece, and as women on the stage.
